Journey to the crown: An exclusive interview with Kairavi Jindal, Miss Teen Diva 2023-24 finalist
Kairavi Jindal from Punjab has been selected as one of the finalists for the nation’s biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant for teenagers and adolescents - Miss Teen Diva. Born in Barnala, Kairavi is a student at the Shri Ram School, Aravli. She is currently based in Gurugram and is a trained dancer specializing in Kathak. She has also volunteered for an NGO named We Care Foundation. Kairavi is a polyglot and can speak four languages including English, French, Hindi and Punjabi. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High Magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Miss Teen Diva finals and her journey till now.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Miss Teen Diva 2023-24 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2023-24 Miss Teen Diva contest?
Answer: It feels absolutely amazing to get selected for the competition and to be a part of the Miss Teen Diva family. I was very excited on getting the news of my selection as this is something completely new for me and I look forward to the experience.
Q. Tell us something about the place you belong to.
Answer: I was born in Punjab which is a beautiful state filled with colors and joy. It got its name from the five rivers flowing through it. It is home to the Golden Temple, one of the most sacred places on the Earth. Punjabis’ hospitality and innocence makes everyone feel like home.
Q. Enlighten us in regards to your preparations for the upcoming Miss Teen Diva competition.
Answer: My preparations for the competition are going on in full swing. I have been improving my skills everyday under the guidance of Nikhil sir and my team captain, Trishna Ray.
Q. In your opinion, what are the qualities / traits that you believe could help you move ahead in the competition?
Answer: I believe that my perseverance and dedication to achieve my goals will help me throughout my journey. In addition to this my trait of time management will help me balance every aspect of the competition along with my studies.
Q. Tell us something about your hobbies and areas of interest.
Answer: I am passionate about art and colors have always been my best friend. It helps me feel relaxed and is a huge part of my identity. I enjoy photography, baking, reading and doing Kathak as well. Photography and Kathak help me express myself. Baking is something that the quarantine gave me which comes from my love for food, especially desserts.
Q. Any quote or saying that has a profound impact on you.
Answer: A quote that I resonate with is “Don’t count the days make the days count” because I believe in spending each minute of my day doing something productive rather than sitting idle.
Q. Who / what is your biggest support system?
Answer: My parents have always been my biggest support. They have given me the freedom to make my own choices and decide my own path while guiding me through my highs and lows. They have taught me to freely express myself and live my life to the fullest.
Q. When you look back in time, what is the biggest life lesson that you have learnt?
Answer: My biggest life lesson is to always be confident. I used to be a person who would shy away from expressing her opinions but I have learnt that I have much strength and if I do not use them then I will lose a lot of opportunities in life.
Q. In your opinion, what is the best way to handle criticism?
Answer: I believe that the best way to handle criticism is to learn from it and decide whether the person criticising you is your well-wisher or not. If the person is your well-wisher they will only give out constructive criticism which will help you grow in life.
Q. One piece of advice that you would like to share with the individuals who want to join the beauty pageant industry.
Answer One piece of advice I would give individuals who want to join the beauty pageant industry is that this field gives unlimited opportunities but you can never get through without hard work. So dream it and work with dedication to achieve something in this industry.
