NAILCARE

These days, people's nail care is just as fashionable as clothing. Some people simply enjoy having long nails, while others simply enjoy having them decorated. In order to maintain long, healthy nails for a longer period of time, those of these various kinds of people who care about their nails must be aware of proper grooming practices.

We frequently overlook our nails since we are so preoccupied with our other physical appearances. We believe that changing the nail polish is all that has to be done for the nails. However, that is when we are shown to be mistaken, as caring for your nails requires more than just applying new nail polish or simply shaping them to suit your needs; you also need to nurture them. So, guys, take a look at your nails right now and ask yourself, "Are they healthy?"

  • Don’t bite your nails
Some of us have a terrible habit of chewing off our nails. We merely chew our nails without realizing how it affects them or how the bacteria that were on them are just swallowed by us.

  • Don’t expose your nails to water often
We know that wet hair is always fragile and so are our nails. I'm not suggesting that you stop washing your hands altogether or that you try to take a bath without letting your hands in the way since it would be very stupid. But what I'm trying to explain is that if we frequently expose our nails to water, they just get incredibly soft, and there's a reasonable risk they could break or otherwise would lose their structure. According to Dr. Stern, “Keep in mind that despite its rigid structure, a nail is just like a sponge.  It practically has 1000 times the water absorption capacity of human skin.”

  • Trimming nails regularly
This is not how it works; you need to routinely trim your nails. It is not enough to simply trim your nail because it looks weird after breaking. A little trimming would do; it doesn't have to be like cutting it off altogether. Nail filing is also quite necessary as well.

  • Don’t cut your cuticles
Your nails have a layer of protection provided by their cuticles. Therefore, refrain from even considering trimming your cuticles.

  • Moisturize your nails
Yeah, I know right! Along with moisturizing your skin now we have to moisturize our nails too. It isn’t that much work seriously, you all just need to apply a normal oil or just any lip balm.

  • Nails too need space
Similar to how we become exhausted after a long day at work, so do our nails. Sometimes we simply repeat the cycle of painting our nails, removing them, and then painting them again. No matter how carefully you choose the nail paint brand, the regularity of putting and removing polish only wears down the nails and worsens their condition. Therefore, simply give them some room and leave their nails unpainted for some time.

  • Maintain nail hygiene
When left unattended, the area under our nails can get dirty and filled with germs, eventually compromising our nails' health. So maintaining good nail hygiene is also very important.

  • Your nail is not a tool
When we just receive a new box, bag, or anything else and we don't seem to have a knife or scissors to open it, what we generally do is just tear it apart with our nails. The seemingly simple procedure actually has a negative impact on the health of your nails over time and even causes some minor damage.

A great set of nails doesn't just appear; they require care and correct grooming. Your nails are a reflection of who you are. I've never noticed nails losing popularity. You just need the right attitude and upkeep to make your nails look beautiful; you don't need to go out of your way.
