The month of February 2024 marked the beginning of a new era in the Indian beauty pageant industry. The morning of February 21, 2024 brought a significant and spectacular news with it that shook the entire beauty pageant industry. The biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant in the world - the Miss Universe pageant appointed a new pageant director in India. The colossal responsibility of selecting the Indian representative to the 2024 Miss Universe competition has been placed on the shoulders of a young gentleman who has defied all the odds and overcame several challenges to reach the place where he is today. He is one of the most influential and prominent personalities in the Indian pageant industry and one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the pageant world; he is Nikhil Anand, the founder and chairman of the leading beauty pageant organization in India, the Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. (popularly known as the Glamanand Group).
On February 21, 2024, Nikhil Anand took to social media and announced the big news regarding the acquisition of the Miss Universe franchise in India. He now owns the exclusive rights to select the candidate who would represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe competition. Nikhil Anand hails from Bihar and is currently based in New Delhi. He holds a degree in engineering and has been associated with the Indian pageant and fashion industry since the early 2010’s. In 2013, he created Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and launched the Glamanand Supermodel India competition which went on to become a major beauty pageant in India. In addition to that Nikhil owns two international beauty pageants – Miss Teen International and Miss Multinational and two of the biggest teen pageants in the world – Miss Teen Diva and Miss Teen India. He owns the maximum number of beauty pageants in India and is also the world’s youngest international pageant owner.
The Glamanand Group is famous for the colossal production level and extravagantly conducted national finals of their events. In 2023, the organization created history by producing the biggest ever national finals event in the history of Indian pageantry.
