Ankita Tiwari from Uttar Pradesh has been selected as one of the finalists for the 2024 Mrs. India beauty pageant organized by the Glamanand Group. Born in Bhopal, Ankita is currently based in Singapore. She holds a master’s degree in business administration and is working as a consulting manager. She likes to spend time with her children and meditate for stress management and self-awareness. This highly educated HR Tech Professional and can speak 2 languages including English and Hindi. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Mrs. India 2024 beauty pageant and her journey so far.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Mrs. India 2024 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2024 Mrs. India contest?
Answer: Thank you so much. Being selected as a national finalist of Mrs. India 2024 is an incredible honor and a dream come true. The moment I received the news, a wave of excitement and gratitude washed over me. The realization that I'll be representing and competing at such a prestigious platform filled me with immense joy. My first thoughts were a mix of excitement, gratitude for the opportunity, and a deep sense of responsibility to make the most of this incredible experience. I'm ready to embrace the journey ahead with enthusiasm and grace.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I was born and raised in Bhopal, where I completed my education. Subsequently, I got married in Lucknow, and it has been 12 wonderful years. Together, my spouse and I shared a common goal of exploring new places and expanding our horizons, leading us to visit various countries. Currently, we are in Singapore working and have two lovely daughters who now study here.
Q. Please take us through the significant milestones in your life and how they have shaped you as the person you are today.
Answer: Reflecting on my life's journey, I've navigated diverse milestones, each contributing to the person I am today. I am a HR Tech Professional, an MBA graduate. May it be coming out of the comfort zone from being a typical Daddy’s little girl and building on a successful career, raising kids, fulfilling personal and professional goals. I am person who believes in standing up for anyone who is having a hard time in life, being loyal and vocal for needy makes me the person I am today. Among these, the most profound has been my selection in Mrs. India. It's not just a pageant; it's a platform that has amplified my resilience, honed my leadership skills, and deepened my commitment to causes that matter. I feel with this platform I can be in a position where I can reach out to more and more people and infect them with the motivation and happiness I carry with myself. These milestones, whether personal or professional, have collectively shaped a version of me that's driven, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Q. What are your hobbies and areas of interests, and how do you manage them with the responsibilities that you shoulder?
Answer: My hobbies are spending time with my kids, meditation. I feel doing what I like is the most important part for me every day so I find time. Must confess, I like being lazy on holidays but other days I have my discipline and set of rules to follow in order to efficiently manage all the tasks including hobbies.
Q. Please tell us about your family and the role they play in your life
Answer: We are a close-knit family of four – my husband, our two vibrant daughters aged 9 and 3, and I. My family is my anchor, providing unwavering support and love. My husband is not just a life partner but also my confidant, sharing in the joys and challenges of life. Our daughters, the pillars of joy in our household, bring laughter and warmth. They inspire me daily to strive for a better future. Family is at the core of my being, grounding me and motivating me to pursue my dreams with their constant encouragement and love.
Q. Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities can be challenging. How do you manage this delicate balance in your life?
Answer: Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities is indeed a delicate dance. I prioritize effective time management and set clear boundaries to ensure quality time with my family. At work, I focus on efficiency to maximize productivity. Communication is key – I engage in open conversations with my family, setting expectations and creating a supportive environment. Additionally, self-care is non-negotiable; I make time for activities that recharge me. It's about finding harmony, acknowledging imperfections, and embracing the beauty of balance in each facet of life.
Q. What the most crucial piece of advice that you would like to share with the women of this era?
Answer: The indispensable advice I would share with the women of this era is to cultivate a fierce belief in their own capabilities. You are more resilient, more capable, and more powerful than you might realize. Banish self-doubt, trust your journey, and take bold steps toward your aspirations. As Rupi Kaur aptly said, 'What's the greatest lesson a woman should learn? That since day one, she's already had everything she needs within herself. It's the world that convinced her she did not.' Believe in yourself, harness your potential, and let your inner strength propel you to heights you've always envisioned. Be a kind human being, respectful to elders and true to yourself. Remember our Indian culture teaches us being powerful as Durga, wise as Saraswati and destructive as Kali if needed.
