Asmita Chakraborty honored with the Sattva Iconic Wellness Award by Sattva Nation
Indian model and the reigning Miss Tourism India, Asmita Chakraborty has been honored with the Sattva Iconic Wellness Award At the recently concluded Sattva Awards. She was felicitated by the chairman of NDSWA, Dr. Gaurav Grover. The event took place on January 11, 2024 at the Hotel Shangri-La, Connaught Place in New Delhi. Sattva Nation is India's biggest wellness platform. They organized this prestigious award ceremony to honor the wellness experts of the nation. The event was also attended by the Union Minister, ambassadors of different nations, bureaucrats, wellness gurus, lifestyle influencers and notable dignitaries. This year, the best 20 wellness experts and influencers, who revolutionizing the space of wellness, were awarded. They were honored for their contributions in 8 categories of wellness - Physical Wellness, Mental Wellness, Environmental Wellness, Social Wellness, Intellectual Wellness, Financial Wellness, Spiritual Wellness and Occupational Wellness. Each dimension is equally vital in the pursuit of holistic wellness
Asmita was invited to the event as the guest of honor. She received this award for her significant contributions to the Indian beauty pageant sector and promoting the diverse and rich culture of India at the international arena. Last year, she made the nation proud by winning the Best Talent of the World special award at the 2023 Miss Tourism World beauty pageant. The world finals of the international beauty pageant took place on December 22, 2023 in the Quanzhou City, China. Asmita bested other 64 candidates from different parts of the world and won this prestigious award. During the talent competition of the beauty pageant, she performed a fusion of different India forms. She began with dance form belonging to the Eastern region of India then gradually transitioning into the Northern dance forms to subsequently showcasing the dance forms of the Western India and finally culminating her performance with the dance forms of the South. Her intention behind this act was to show the diverse and colorful culture of India. This act received massive appreciation from the judges and the audience and consequently won her the Best Talent of the world special award.
Asmita has her roots in the East Indian state of West Bengal. She was born in the Jalpaiguri City in West Bengal and currently resides in New Delhi. She has spent most part of her childhood in the Middle Eastern nations of Oman and Yemen, before moving to New Delhi. She stands 5 foot and 8 inches tall and has black hair and black eyes. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and works as an architect. Apart from that she is also a model and social activist. She has walked the runway for several well-known fashion brands and is actively working with an NGO that supports women empowerment and works towards making them self-reliant. An academically inclined student since childhood, Asmita had secured AIR of 887 in JEE-Mains. She is also a trained dancer and singer specializing in the Indian Classical music and the Bharatnatyam dance form. Asmita is a polyglot and can speak 3 languages including English, Hindi and Bengali.
In 2021, she participated in one of the leading beauty pageants in India, Glamanand Supermodel India, held in Gurugram on August 21, 2021 and was crowned Miss Tourism India. Along with winning this prestigious title, she also won the rights to represent India at the 2023 Miss Tourism World 2023 competition. Asmita has been part of several national and regional beauty pageants in the past and now she holds one international award under her possession.
