Journey to the crown: An exclusive interview with Manasa, Miss Teen Diva 2023-24 finalist
Manasa from Karnataka has been selected as one of the finalists for the nation’s biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant for teenagers and adolescents - Miss Teen Diva. Born in Chintamani, Manasa is a student of BBA (bachelor’s degree in business administration) at the Krupanidhi Group of Institutions. Based in Bengaluru, she is the captain of her college team and also a trained dancer. Manasa is a polyglot and can speak 4 languages including English, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High Magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Miss Teen Diva finals and her journey till now.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Miss Teen Diva 2023-2024 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2023-2024 Miss Teen Diva contest?
Answer: Thank you so much. It was a dream come true to me. I still remember the moment I got to know the news and started screaming so loud and hugging every single person in my home with a lot of happiness and tears. The only thought in my mind was I have to do this.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I belong to Bengaluru. It is also known as the "Silicon Valley of India." Bengaluru is a vibrant and bustling city. It's famous for its IT and technical industries, beautiful parks, and rich cultural heritage. The city is a melting pot of diverse cultures, with a blend of traditional and modern influences. The city's vibrant food scene offers a variety of cuisines, from traditional South Indian delicacies to international flavors. Whether you're strolling through the colorful streets of Indiranagar or experiencing the energetic nightlife in MG Road, Bengaluru never fails to captivate with its unique charm.
Q. Enlighten us in regards to your preparations for the upcoming Miss Teen Diva competition.
Answer: I am working very hard and motivating myself daily. I believe learning never ends and learning something new every day makes you a better person. Hence, I am preparing myself to fit in all the categories in the pageant and bring out the best in me
Q. In your opinion, what are the qualities / traits that you believe could help you move ahead in the competition?
Answer: My strength, confidence, being active always are the main attributes that I believe could help me move ahead in the competition.
Q. Tell us something about your hobbies and areas of interest.
Answer: I enjoy dancing; it's my way to express the emotions. I go to contemporary and hip hop classes. I'm also very fascinated by fantasy so writing fantasy stories has been my hobby. I'm also interested in sports; it has made me understand a lot of different concepts like team work, leadership and true sportsman spirit.
Q. Any quote or saying that has a profound impact on you.
Answer: The quote, when you deeply want something the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it, has stolen my heart. I believe in the universe I believe everything that happens it happens to our own good which movies me forward everyday
Q. Who / what is your biggest support system?
Answer: My family is my biggest support. Since day one they have been with me and will continue to be. They have been my biggest motivation and energy. The amount of love I get from them it's truly amazing. And I'm always grateful to have a family like this cause not everyone gets this much love and support from their families
Q. When you look back in time, what is the biggest life lesson that you have learnt?
Answer: The biggest life lesson that I have learnt is, nothing is forever. And I have experienced this. No matter what it is nothing remains forever in the world but when we have it with us we need to enjoy and stay happy with it.
Q. In your opinion, what is the best way to handle criticism?
Answer: Just by not caring. In the end of the day you need yourself and your thoughts and not others opinions about you. It's your life and you can rule it by your own and by the way you love it. If we care about criticism then who are we as a person.
Q. One piece of advice that you would like to share with the individuals who want to join the beauty pageant industry.
Answer: Trust yourself and do not care about others opinions. We live in the world where everywhere everything is judged. You will never know your worth unless you realize it by yourself. If you believe you can do it then there will be a crown waiting for you
