Apeksha Singh Bhadauria from Uttar Pradesh has been selected as one of the finalists for the 2024 Mrs. India beauty pageant organized by the Glamanand Group. Born in Kanpur, Apeksha is currently based in Noida. She holds a master’s degree in business administration and currently serving as the Director of Strategy HR-India Subcontinent for an MNC. She is a fitness enthusiast and yoga practitioner. She has been practicing Yoga for the past 5 years and she mentioned that it helps her relax and makes her perform better at the professional front. Apeksha has won a series of awards in her professional journey; the major ones include Global 200 Power Leaders in Human Resources in 2023, 2022-23 Woman of Excellence Award from India achievers Forum, The 2023 Global Choice Award, L&D Champion of the year Award from L&D summit Award 2023 and ASIA Top 100 Powerful HR Leaders 2022. Apeksha speaks two languages including English and Hindi. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Mrs. India 2024 beauty pageant and her journey so far.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Mrs. India 2024 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2024 Mrs. India contest?
Answer: Thank you so much. I feel excited to embark on this new journey in my life. It will be an exhilarating and life-changing experience. I will get a platform to amplify my voice and advocate for causes that are important. I will use my newfound visibility to make a positive impact in my community and beyond.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I belong to Kanpur. Kanpur is a large industrial city located in the central-western part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the 12th most populous city and the 11th most populous urban agglomeration in India. Kanpur has the world famous 'Lal Imli' woolen factory, LML, Pan Parag, ICI Limited (now known as Duncans Fertilisers), one of the largest leather industries in the world and myriad cotton mills.
Q. Please take us through the significant milestones in your life and how they have shaped you as the person you are today.
Answer: I hail from a family of three generations of strong women, including my grandmother, aunts, and mother. Throughout my childhood, I was surrounded by strong, opinionated, ambitious, and career-oriented women. They all had clear career choices, and my grandmother supported them equally regardless of their choices. Being raised in such environment has made me a strong, fierce and independent woman with a strong voice
Q. What are your hobbies and areas of interests, and how do you manage them with the responsibilities that you shoulder?
Answer: I am a fitness enthusiast and lead a very disciplined life. I have been practicing yoga from past 5 years with the help of my trainer. I take out one and half hour every day to practise yoga. This helps me in building a strong physical and mental health.
Q. Please tell us about your family and the role they play in your life
Answer: I am married and have two kids- a daughter and a son, 16 and 12 years respectively. My husband is a software professional and has been the wind beneath my wings and has supported me throughout my career. He has ensured that we both take care of household responsibilities and raising our kids equally which gives both quintessential time to focus on achieving newer heights in our respective career domain. My parents stay in Kanpur. My mother is a home maker now and my father is retired. The men in my life have played a very pivotal role in term of forming my personality traits and a go getter attitude towards life. My father has supported me in each & every decision of my life. His mantra for me is “pair zameen par.. Ankhein aasman par.”
Q. Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities can be challenging. How do you manage this delicate balance in your life?
Answer: Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities can be challenging but with impeccable planning, prioritization, and communication, it is achievable. I identify my top priorities in each area of my life—personal, professional, and family. Focusing on what matters most to me and I allocate my time and energy accordingly. I delegate tasks both at work and at home to lighten my workload and free up my time for other priorities. I trust my team members, colleagues and family members to handle responsibilities effectively. I keep open lines of communication with my family, team members, colleagues, and my boss. I also focus on the quality of your interactions rather than the quantity of time spent. Making the most of the time I have with my loved ones by creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences.
Q. What is the most crucial piece of advice that you would like to share with the women of this era?
Answer: My advice would be: As a woman you possess the power to shape your own destiny and influence the world around you. Take ownership of your life and career. Be proactive in setting and pursuing your goals. Don't underestimate your capabilities or limit yourself based on societal expectations or stereotypes. Believe in your potential to make a difference and strive to fulfill it.

Answer: Dear Reader - As you route through the complexities of life, remember that you hold within you the power to shape your own destiny. Embrace the challenges as opportunities for growth and cherish the moments of joy and fulfillment along the way. Your journey is uniquely yours, filled with endless possibilities waiting to be explored. In the times of doubt or uncertainty, trust in your abilities and your resilience. Draw strength from the love and support of those around you, and never underestimate the impact of your voice and your actions. You have the potential to make a difference, both in your own life and in the lives of others.
