Journey to the crown: An exclusive interview with Titli Panda, Miss Teen Diva 2023-24 finalist
Titli Panda from West Bengal has been selected as one of the finalists for the nation’s biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant for teenagers and adolescents - Miss Teen Diva. Born Purba Medinipur in West Bengal, Titli is student at the Mount Litera Zee School, Contai. She is a bronze level Judo champion and a trained dancer. Titli speaks 3 languages including Bengali, English and Hindi. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High Magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Miss Teen Diva finals and her journey till now.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Miss Teen Diva 2023-24 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2023-24 Miss Teen Diva contest?
Answer: I was really very excited when I got to know that I have gotten selected for the finals of Miss Teen Diva contest as it was my childhood dream and I have never expected it to turn into reality; thanks to the Miss Teen Diva platform for giving me this wonderful opportunity to fulfil my dream. The first thought that came across my mind was to make my family proud.
Q. Tell us something about the place you belong to.
Answer: I belong to Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. This place has always offered as an inspiration to the poets and writers who admire the natural beauty and its culture .My surroundings have always given me a positive vibe and a beautiful reason to always have a smile.
Q. Enlighten us in regards to your preparations for the upcoming Miss Teen Diva competition.
Answer: With my mentor, Trishna and pageant director, Nikhil Anand, my preparations are going very well. They help me whenever I need it. Also, I am practicing very hard as I want to give my best in the pageant.
Q. In your opinion, what are the qualities / traits that you believe could help you move ahead in the competition?
Answer: In my opinion creativity, adaptability, discipline and willingness to learn something new are my strongest qualities that I believe they could help me move ahead in the competition as well as in my life.
Q. Any quote or saying that has a profound impact on you.
Answer: " Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage that counts and make the difference."
In my life I have faced many failures as well as witnessed several moments of success but every time I face failure, my family always supports me and stand by me, saying work hard and the light of success will be coming soon I have always believed that success and failure will come but the most important thing is what we have learnt from them and how courageously we continue to work hard.
Q. Who / what is your biggest support system?
Answer: My biggest support system is my family and my neighbours. They have always support and motivate me to achieve my dreams and goals. They have always stood by me as a positive energy and they are the reason why I want to achieve my dream and make them proud.
Q. When you look back in time, what is the biggest life lesson that you have learnt?
Answer: When I look back in time the biggest life lesson has been to believe in your and never lose hope. I have faced many failures in my life but still I didn't stop believing and dreaming.
Q. In your opinion, what is the best way to handle criticism?
Answer: The best way to handle criticism is to ignore it as more you reply to the people who criticize you the more you waste your time. Work hard and they will get their answer automatically.
Q. One piece of advice that you would like to share with the individuals who want to join the beauty pageant industry.
Answer: One piece of advice that I would like to share with the individuals who want to join beauty pageant industry is that the pageant would boost your self-confidence and you would learn and develop new skills. It would also help you to identify your new talents and abilities.
