Sonia Saini from Uttar Pradesh has been selected as one of the finalists for the 2024 Mrs. India beauty pageant organized by the Glamanand Group. Born in Saharanpur, Sonia is currently based in Karnataka. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and is working as an IT professional. Her hobbies and areas of interest include painting, crafting, and exercising and listening to music. Sonia is a polyglot and can speak 3 languages including Hindi, English and Kannada. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Mrs. India 2024 beauty pageant and her journey so far.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Mrs. India 2024 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2024 Mrs. India contest?
Answer: Thank you so much. The feeling is a rollercoaster of my emotions- excitement, worry, happiness, anxiety – all rolled into one. I have come from a traditional and orthodox background, this opportunity is breaking and it’s both challenging and hard working. I’m stepping into uncharted magic pound, but above all, I feel a surge of strength, strong, and empowerment. This is a completely new chapter for me, something I never thought of I would consider. On this new way, of self-reflection, I see this platform as my first bold step to share myself and my story, and aspirations with the world.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I belong to the Shree Ram land state of Utter Pradesh. Home to the holy city, Saharanpur, situated near the holy river Ganga. I‘ve spent most of my life there. It’s a unique melting pot that embraces diversity, welcoming people from all walks of life, irrespective of languages or cultures.
Q. Please take us through the significant milestones in your life and how they have shaped you as the person you are today.
Answer: My life’s journey had never been smooth. It has been full of ups and downs. However, I silenced doubters by securing a position through off line campus placements, commencing to my professional journey completing my degree. I consciously chose kindness and forgiveness. Despite facing mistreatment, I’ve maintained a spirit of well-wishing, harboring no ill feelings. This realization illuminated the genuine, kind , and honest facets of my character, affirming that I have much to offer. Applying for this pageant stands as a symbol of my inner strength during a period of diminished self-confidence, a testament to my journey of transcending expectations, embracing inherent strength, and choosing a path guided by genuine kindness.
Q. What are your hobbies and areas of interests, and how do you manage them with the responsibilities that you shoulder?
Answer: I am always embracing a bunch of hobbies that add color to my life – painting, crafting, and exercising and listening to music. Life as a working woman can be a whirlwind of responsibilities and you know how it is juggling work, home and everything in between. But here’s my secret : I make sure to squeeze in time for my passion, even if it’s just immersing myself in some soul- soothing music, I certainly, believe that creating pockets of clam and joy is on us. It’s easy to get lost in the daily grind, but having these hobbies in mine of hitting the mental reset button. I understand the importance of mental health, so I crave out moments for activities that clear my mind and bring me genuine happiness. It’s my little self-care ritual in the midst of life.
Q. Please tell us about your family and the role they play in your life
Answer: I see my family, my mother is everything for me; her tremendous moral support system. With an inspiring elder sister and a brother who epitomizes strength, being surrounded by these remarkable women has naturally shaped my strong personality. Hailing from a farmer background, my LT father was a farmer and mother house wife. I feel grateful to my amazing parents, and I’m fortunate to have wonderful sisters and brother who despite the age difference has always treated me with respect , valuing my ideas and opinions right from the our childhood.
Q. Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities can be challenging. How do you manage this delicate balance in your life?
Answer: Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities is like juggling, but as a woman, I’ve always seen it is an advantage. There’s a natural strength that comes with being a woman – the ability to handle multiple tasks even when faced with health challenges. Living by principles and holding myself accountable for my actions is key. I recognize the dependency my family has on me, and I take that responsibility seriously. I firmly believe that my environment’s happiness is connected to my own, so taking accountability for my responsibilities becomes a source of ease in managing the delicate balance of life.
Q. What the most crucial piece of advice that you would like to share with the women of this era?
Answer: The most crucial piece of advice I’d share with the women of this era is to remember that nothing is permanent. Be yourself and invest yourself. Empower yourself while lifting others up. Support fellow women because it’s time ti dispel that outdated stereotype that women are jealous of each other. Together, let’s show the world the trith- that there are no scars to your beautiful soul and you are always loved.

Answer: For every reader out there, I am thankful all of you that you are reading this but last , I urge you to accountable for your actions- for the children , for this earth. True education goes beyond degrees and financial independence; it is about being a responsible human being. In every moment, let’s find chance to show gratitude. Let’s contribute to a world where our actions, no matter how small , create a positive ripple effect.
