Thanuja Sreenivasan from Kerela has been selected as one of the finalists for the 2024 Mrs. India beauty pageant organized by the Glamanand Group. Born in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, Thanuja Sreenivasan is currently based in Chennai. She holds an M. Phil. degree in Industrial Psychology and is currently working as an investment banker. She likes to design and paint. She mentions that these she gets very less time to pursue her interests however, she still manages to take out some time for these activities as they help her to relax and perform better at the professional front. This highly educated banking professional is a polyglot and can speak 4 languages including Hindi, English, Tamil and Malayalam. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Mrs. India 2024 beauty pageant and her journey so far.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Mrs. India 2024 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2024 Mrs. India contest?
Answer: Thank you so much. It was indeed a great feeling that I experienced when I received the news regarding my selection. I felt proud and excited too since I was going to unfold a new chapter in my life.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I belong to the beautiful state of Kerala. Nestled along the southwestern coast of India, Kerala, known as "God's Own Country," is a verdant paradise where every corner whispers tales of tranquility and tradition. Here, emerald backwaters weave through lush landscapes, adorned with coconut palms swaying gently in the breeze. The scent of spices dances through the air, weaving a fragrant tapestry that envelops its visitors. Kerala is a symphony of vibrant colors, from the crimson sunsets that paint the sky to the azure waves that caress its shores. Its rich cultural heritage is evident in every aspect of life, from the graceful movements of Kathakali dancers to the rhythmic beats of traditional music echoing through the streets. With its Ayurvedic retreats offering rejuvenation for the body and soul, and its delectable cuisine tantalizing taste buds with flavors both bold and nuanced, Kerala is a destination that leaves an indelible mark on all who have the privilege of experiencing its beauty.
Q. Please take us through the significant milestones in your life and how they have shaped you as the person you are today.
Answer: Women comparatively face lot of challenges post marriage and childbirth etc., For a career oriented person like me bringing the perfect work life balance and bring a success in your profession, every day is indeed a milestone.
Q. What are your hobbies and areas of interests, and how do you manage them with the responsibilities that you shoulder?
Answer: My hobbies include painting and designing. Since I am into the banking sector, I get very less time during weekdays to pursue my interests. However, I take out time during the weekends mostly. A perfect time management helps you find the right balance in life.
Q. Please tell us about your family and the role they play in your life
Answer: My twins (both boys) have seen me as a working mother since the age of 2. With time, they perfectly blend along with my career and have been very adaptable and supportive.
Q. Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities can be challenging. How do you manage this delicate balance in your life?
Answer: Through a perfect time management and balancing work, family and time for myself.
Q. What the most crucial piece of advice that you would like to share with the women of this era?
Answer: Never lose your sense of individuality and feeling confident about it.
