Have you ever thought of living your life far away? Where you want to experience something new. The movie “into the wild” directed by Sean pean was based on the life of Chris McCandless. The son of two successful parents settled in Annandale, Virginia, USA. Chris graduated from W.T wooden High school, Virginia in 1986. He was a good drummer and also the captain of the cross-country team. And also he urged his teammates to follow the path of spiritual and to stay away from all the evil in the world and hatred. He graduated from Emory University and received a bachelor’s degree in History and Anthropology in 1990. After his graduation, he donated all his savings to charity, and then he was living the life of a vagabond. He worked in a restaurant and farmland. He also completed several lengthy adventuress hiking trips down the Colorado rivers.

Chris McCandless had this dream to live a life as into the wild of Alaska, and he was succeeded. He traveled from Arizona to South Dakota and his last location was stampede trail. On April 28, 1992, He met an electrician named Jim Gallien. Gallien had given a ride to Chris from Fairbanks to the start of the rugged track just outside the small town of Healy. He was concerned about him as he had less knowledge about traveling to Alaska with less equipment. He offered to buy him some essential types of equipment for his stay in Alaska, but he refused it. He only accepted a pair of sandwiches and a packet of corn chips from him. After hiking the snow-covered stampede trail. He came upon a broken down abandon bus, where he attempted to live by setting up a camp, off from land. He had 4.5 kilograms (9.9 lb) of rice, a semi-automatic rifle, several books, including one on local plant life, some personal effects, and a few items of camping equipment.
For his living, he hunted squirrels and birds. He made a journal about him. Where he wrote about the things he did during the time. From the evidence from his journal which was found, after completion of three months, he decided to go back to civilization. But the trail was blocked due to a high water level of Teklanika River. So he couldn’t cross the river. He had to head back to the bus, and he re-established his camp. On his bus, he wrote a note “Attention Possible Visitors. S.O.S. I need your help. I am injured, near death, and too weak to hike out. I am all alone, this is no joke. In the name of God, please remain to save me. I am out collecting berries close by and shall return this evening. Thank you, Chris McCandless”. He wrote in his journal “day 107” adding more to it with “beautiful blueberries”.

On September 6, 1992, a hunter who was looking for shelter for the night came upon the converted bus McCandless had been staying in. Upon entering, he smelled what he thought was rotting food and discovered “a lump” in a sleeping bag. The hunter quickly radioed police, who arrived the following day. They found McCandless’ decomposing body in the sleeping bag. He had died of starvation sometime in August.
According to the movie “Into The Wildes” the main reason for his death was that he in take a poisonous a toxic alkaloid called Swainsonin which lead this into starvation and death.
