Charvi Pawar from Uttar Pradesh has been selected as one of the finalists for the nation’s biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant for teenagers and adolescents - Miss Teen Diva. Born in Guwahati, She was born in Ghaziabad and is currently based in Lucknow. Charvi is a high school student and enjoys writing stories in her free time. She speaks two languages, Hindi and English. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High Magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Miss Teen Diva finals and her journey till now.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Miss Teen Diva 2023-24 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2024 Miss Teen Diva contest?
Answer: Thank you so much, honestly it came as a surprise to me at first. I read the message many times and then told my mother. First thought that crossed my mind was this is my chance to prove myself how confident I am.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I belong to the city of Lucknow. Lucknow, the cultural jewel of Uttar Pradesh, India, merges history and modernity along the Gomti River. Adorned with architectural marvels that are a fine tapestry of its past. Renowned for its refined arts, including Kathak dance, and soulful music, Lucknow is a gastronomic delight with its world-famous Awadhi cuisine. The vibrant markets of the city combine tradition with modernity. Beyond its historical charm, Lucknow thrives as a dynamic hub of education and commerce. In every street and monument, Lucknow gracefully preserves its heritage while embracing the pulse of the present.
Q. Enlighten us in regards to your preparations for the upcoming Miss Teen Diva competition.
Answer: I am working hard on all the areas possible. My parents have been very supportive in this journey and they have been encouraging me since the day one. I am attending sessions with the Miss Teen Diva teams and also working on my runway and communication skills.
Q. In your opinion, what are the qualities / traits that you believe could help you move ahead in the competition?
Answer: The qualities that I believe could help me move ahead in the competition are my instincts, hard work and dedication.
Q. Tell us something about your hobbies and areas of interest.
Answer: - I love dancing since my childhood days. I have participated in many dance competitions in the past. I also like listening to music and I love to write stories like horror, thriller and mystery.
Q. Any quote or saying that has a profound impact on you.
Answer: A quote that my mother told, “Agar log kya sochege ye bhi hum hi sochege toh log kya sochege.”This line has done a big impact on me.
Q. Who / what is your biggest support system?
Answer: My parents and the God.
Q. When you look back in time, what is the biggest life lesson that you have learnt?
Answer: The biggest lesson that I have learnt is to live in the moment as we never know what may happen tomorrow.
Q. In your opinion, what is the best way to handle criticism?
Answer: If the person who is criticizing is wrong try to explain him/ her calmly that you are not doing this right. If then also he/she didn't listen to you then it's better to ignore them.
Q. One piece of advice that you would like to share with the individuals who want to join the beauty pageant industry.
Answer: - My advice to such individuals is that always show your real personality, never fake or copy anymore because you are unique in your own way.
Q. Lastly, any message for the readers.
Answer: My message to the readers is that keep trying in your life; if you got fail then also because success will always come after failure and failure will always teach you something new.
