Birthday special – How a guy next door from Rajasthan became the nation’s most admired Mr. India winner
We often come across sayings like “Life can change overnight” or “Even the longest journeys in life begin with a single step” and we often wonder if these words hold any relevance in the real world. Well, for this gentleman these sayings became the biggest realities for his life. Born and brought up in a small village named Panchota in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan, this handsome man spent the early years of his life away from this scintillating world of glitz and glamour that he is ruling today. His journey began with a dream that he kept chasing until he achieved it. Often regarded as the most celebrated and handsome Mr. India winner, he is the winner of Mr. India Global 2022 title, Chena Ram Choudhary. As he celebrates his birthday today (June 5), let us have a look at his journey from being a guy next door to becoming the most admired face in the Indian male pageant industry.
Chena Ram Choudhary was born in a small village (named Panchota) in Rajasthan. After completing his school education in the village, he moved to the city capital, Jaipur for his higher education. He completed his master’s degree in humanities and social sciences from Rajasthan University and also completed a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Simultaneously, he started his own business in Jaipur before he joined the modeling industry. It was the year 2021, when he won the Mr. Rajasthan title and took his first steps in the world of fashion. His victory fueled him with a sense of accomplishment and boosted his confidence. The following year, in 2022, he became the first candidate from Rajasthan in last 6 years to qualify the national finals for Mister Global India. On October 5, 2022, in Chennai, he won Mr. India Global title besting 35 other candidates from different parts of India. It was the second time in the history of Indian pageantry that a candidate from Rajasthan won this title (first victory being recorded in 2016).
Chena Ram Choudhary was a crowd favorite candidate even before the competition commenced and his victory was already anticipated and expected by many. Even before the national finals, he was voted by the people of India as “the most handsome face of the year 2022” and his victory received great attention and appreciation from the international pageant community. It was the year when India gained back its momentum in the international male pageant industry and Chena Ram Choudhary’s charming looks, humble and sophisticated temperament and versatile personality made him one of the most favorite Mr. India winners of several pageant communities.
In 2023, he flew to Thailand as India’s representative to the Mister Global competition and ended up securing the highest score at the international event. Till date, he is the only Mr. India winner that has secured the highest points in all the categories at the Mr. Global competition. Following his return to India, he continued modeling and also took up the responsibility of being a mentor to the men aspiring to enter the fashion industry. He was also voted by the Mr. India candidates as their most Mr. India winner. The same year, he was awarded with the Most Influential Personality of the Year award in Goa for the kind of impact he created post his victory. A few months later, he was also named the International Face of the Year. With so many awards and accomplishments under his possession, he earned the appellation of being the most celebrated Mr. India winner.
In 2024, he opened a new chapter in his life when he launched his own talent agency named CR Production House. In the month of May 2024, he organized Mr. Model Rajasthan, Miss Model Rajasthan, Mrs. Model Rajasthan and Mr. and Miss Junior Rajasthan competitions. It was the first time when Rajasthan witnessed the staging of so many competitions under the same parent company. The events turned out to be great successes. His journey from being a Mr. India to becoming a Mr. India maker is a pure tale of hard work, dedication and perseverance. The guy who grew up in a small village away from the glitz and glamour is now one of the most influential faces in the Indian male pageant sector.
